Speaker Paul Ryan’s Message on the occasion of Nowruz (Iranian New Year)
Milwaukee, WI; 03/09/2017 – Today, our community members from Wisconsin, members of the Organization of Iranian American Communities-US (OIAC), will join members of Congress, their staff, and Iranian Americans from across the nation at the U.S. House of Representatives to celebrate the Iranian New Year (Nowruz).
Nowruz is a celebration of life, marker of spring, the harbinger of hope, and of a new beginning. To mark the occasion each year, governments and officials in the free world send greetings and optimistic messages to the Iranian people.
This year, we applaud our congressman, Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) for sending us a message of hope and solidarity. At a time when Iranian regime inspired terrorism & Islamic fundamentalism engulfs Iran & the Middle East, our community joins the Speaker and also pledges to work towards helping the Iranian people achieve “a free Iran, and a safer, more prosperous future.”
